The main responsibilities of this role are building and managing all the discipline models that form the complete 3D model for the Project/Plant, producing conceptual and final design 3D models for different disciplines when needed within the processing plant industry, and driving connected BIM workflows to improve collaboration between disciplines and utilizing BIM users. This role reports to DRA’s Design Office, Head of Department.ResponsibilitiesBuild and manage all discipline models that form the complete 3D model for the Project/Plant.Produce conceptual and final design 3D models for different disciplines within the processing plant industry.Drive connected BIM workflows on the project to improve collaboration between disciplines and utilize BIM users.Adhere to drawing office standards and procedures.Interpret flow diagrams, design packs or conceptual designs and prepare models for the project.Update, manage and modify 3D models to suit client requirements.Ensure the maintainability of mechanical equipment and plate work.Ensure appropriate access and flow through the plant to satisfy client and engineering requirements.Identify and propose solutions across all required disciplines.Conduct clash detection and report on clashes.Manage and host weekly reviews with engineering and client teams.Manage vendor equipment information in both 2D and 3D formats.Check detailer steelwork and plate work models against own design.Utilize AutoCAD and Advance Steel for modeling tasks.Use Navisworks Manage effectively.Produce animation/fly-throughs with Navisworks.Quality AssuranceEnsure models are of a high standard through correct software usage.Produce and manage models accurately according to client, drawing office and applicable standards and codes.Follow specific drawing office quality assurance and procedures.Manage distribution of weekly review reports and clash detection reports to the project team and follow up on actions taken on the items in the reports.RequirementsExperience in a similar role within a multi-disciplinary EPCM workplace.Experience with BIM 360 is advantageous.Strong understanding of Building Information Modelling (BIM).Experience and capability to apply 4D and 5D uses.Experience working with scan data point cloud information.Experience in producing rendered images using Navisworks or other similar software packages.Process plant 3D layout experience.Knowledge of applicable software and workflows.Drawing integration and interface with the overall design.Awareness of maintainability of mechanical equipment and plate work.Awareness of access and flow requirements.General knowledge of all disciplines required to pick up problems and propose possible solutions.Employment type: Permanent.Our compensation range for this role is $140,000 to $165,000 annually, depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
