OverviewSecuricare is seeking a HealthcareSecurity Supervisorto lead operations at a healthcare site inSquamishforSquamish General Hospital (SGH)within the Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) portfolio. In this role, you will oversee frontline security staff, ensure a safe workplace for patients, staff, and visitors, and manage day-to-day operations and incident response. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with healthcare security experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.Pay Rate:$29/hrLocation:Squamish General HospitalDuties & ResponsibilitiesDirectly supervise a team of security officers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure adherence to site policies and proceduresConduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance team performance and professionalismMonitor surveillance systems, alarm systems, and access control systems to detect and prevent security breachesCoordinate with law enforcement agencies and emergency responders to address security incidents effectivelyConduct risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategiesCollaborate with clinical teams, facilities management, and site leadership to address security concerns and implement proactive measuresDevelop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures for fire, active threat, and other critical incidentsServe as a liaison between security personnel and healthcare staff to ensure effective communication and coordinationOversee incident response and support frontline staff during medical emergencies, disturbances, and safety eventsReview incident reports for accuracy and compliance, providing coaching and escalation as required.RequirementsValid BC Security Worker Licence (SWL)Valid Advanced Security Training (AST)
