Human Resources Generalist - 1 year contract360 Applewood Crescent, Concord, ON L4K 4V2, CanadaJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist for a recent full‑time, 1‑year fixed‑term contract to support a unionized production‑driven industrial manufacturing operation. This role is focused on employee relations, labour relations support, policy interpretation, HR administration, and legislative compliance, with a strong emphasis on practical application of the Employment Standards Act (ESA).Key ResponsibilitiesProvide day‑to‑day HR generalist support to management and employees within a unionized industrial manufacturing environmentInterpret and apply collective agreements, company policies, and employment legislationSupport employee relations matters including discipline, attendance management, accommodation, investigations, and grievance supportAdminister HR processes such as:Employee lifecycle transactions (onboarding, role changes, terminations)Leaves of absence (ESA, WSIB coordination, disability administration support)Benefits and payroll coordination (data accuracy and escalation, not payroll processing)Apply Employment Standards Act (ESA) requirements with demonstrated practical judgmentPrepare HR documentation including letters, records,
and reportsEnsure accurate record keeping within Ceridian Dayforce and HR systemsPartner with operations and leadership to ensure consistent and compliant HR practicesSupport audits, compliance reviews, and internal reporting as requiredQualificationsMinimum 4 years of progressive HR Generalist experience within a unionized industrial manufacturing environmentPost‑secondary education in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related fieldStrong demonstrated knowledge and application of the Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA)Experience supporting employee relations and labour relations activitiesHigh attention to detail with excellent organization and documentation skillsAbility to operate independently in a fast‑paced, operational settingStrong communication skills with the confidence to work with hourly and salaried employees, supervisors, and leadershipSystems & Technical SkillsExperience with Ceridian Dayforce is highly desirableProficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)Comfortable working with HRIS data, reports, and system workflowsAdditional AssetsCHRP or working toward a professional HR designationExperience supporting collective agreement administration and grievancesCompensation$55,000.00 - $85,000.00 annually#J-18808-Ljbffr
