OverviewJob Description SummaryThe Senior Project Manager is responsible for Project Management, Planning, and Coordination typically in the context of a Services Project to fulfill GE’s customer Project requirements for the Nuclear Power Business, according to financial/commercial parameters and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role is focused on the execution of outage activities, within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures.Job DescriptionResponsibilitiesDevelopment and management of costs with ongoing estimates to completionDevelopment, planning and management of the project schedules and payment milestones, while providing contingency planning where required, to ensure a timely deliveryManaging the contractual scope content ensuring all stakeholders are kept informedRisk and Prospect management. Ensuring that all risks and issues are identified and mitigatedTo provide an accurate monthly management report of all assigned projectsEnsure all project authorization is secured both technically and financiallyTo communicate effectively with all the stakeholders, both internal and externalProvide project leadership and guidance from project conception through to project delivery; to the customer and to conduct project feedback reviews at the appropriate timeIt is expected that this position will act as the focus for project-based activities and perform other related duties as assigned or requestedOccasionally, attend training seminars, customer kickoff meetings, etc.Promote GE products in front of customers during presentations and other events, as neededMaintain excellent relations with customers, peers, Engineering, and global teamsBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
or related technical discipline from an accredited university or college.5+ years of relevant project management experience within the power generation or industrial manufacturing industry.Ability to gain unescorted access to a Nuclear power facility in Canada or U.S.Ability to travel, up to 30% annually, within Canada, domestically and internationally.Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport.Ability to work at customer site as requiredDesired CharacteristicsP. Eng. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
