Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Taekwondo Coach to join our team in Ottawa and lead high-quality Taekwondo training for students of different ages and skill levels.

The ideal candidate is a Black Belt in World Taekwondo (WT) with previous coaching experience, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to create a structured, safe, and motivating training environment.

As a Taekwondo Coach, you will be responsible for developing students’ technical skills, physical fitness, discipline, confidence, and respect while supporting their progression through belt levels and, where applicable, competition preparation.

Responsibilities

- Lead structured and engaging Taekwondo classes for students of various ages and skill levels
- Teach and demonstrate proper World Taekwondo Federation(WTF) techniques, kicking techniques and sparring
- Adapt instruction according to each student’s age, experience, ability, and goals
- Support students in preparing for belt testing and advancement
- Provide guidance and preparation for students interested in competition
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Promote discipline, confidence, respect, perseverance, and sportsmanship
- Maintain a positive, professional,



and motivating training environment
- Ensure student safety and proper use of training equipment at all times
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism, punctuality, and reliability

Requirements
- Black Belt in Taekwondo – World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) required
- Previous Taekwondo coaching/teaching experience required
- Solid knowledge of WTF Taekwondo techniques and sparring
- Experience coaching children is strongly preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and teaching skills
- Patient, professional, reliable, and motivating
- Ability to manage and engage groups of students at different skill levels
- Physically capable of demonstrating Taekwondo techniques safely and effectively
- Coaching certifications and/or competitive Taekwondo experience are considered strong assets
- Experience preparing athletes for tournaments or competitions is an asset

We are looking for someone who is passionate about Taekwondo and committed to helping students develop their skills, confidence, discipline, and love for the sport. Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
