Job Title: Tanning Salon Receptionist

Job Summary

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Tanning Salon Receptionist to join our team! In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for clients — greeting guests, managing appointments, and ensuring an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ideal candidate is organized, friendly, and passionate about helping clients look and feel their best in a clean, professional salon setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome and assist clients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive and professional first impression.
- Schedule and manage appointments efficiently, both in person and over the phone.
- Educate clients on tanning services, memberships, and skincare products to promote safe and effective tanning experiences.
- Process payments, memberships, and retail transactions accurately using salon software.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the reception area, tanning rooms, and retail displays.
- Monitor client check-ins and session times to ensure smooth operation and optimal use of tanning equipment.
- Promote salon specials, memberships, and products to enhance client satisfaction and contribute to business growth.
- Follow all salon health, safety,



and sanitation policies to provide a clean and comfortable environment.
- Support team members with light administrative or cleaning duties as needed.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in customer service, reception, or retail preferred (salon or spa experience a plus).
- Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with booking or POS systems.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional appearance.
- Positive attitude with a genuine interest in beauty, wellness, and client care.
- Must be comfortable explaining tanning safety procedures and following all salon policies.
