Position Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced Team Lead Installer to join our custom millwork company. The successful candidate must have extensive hands-on experience installing high-end custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, and commercial and residential millwork.
This position requires strong leadership, organization, problem-solving skills, and the ability to supervise installation crews while ensuring every project is completed safely, accurately, and according to approved drawings and company quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise millwork installation crews on residential and commercial job sites.
- Install custom cabinetry, kitchens, vanities, closets, wall panels, reception desks, architectural millwork, and other custom components.
- Review and accurately interpret shop drawings, architectural drawings, specifications, and installation plans.
- Coordinate daily installation activities and assign responsibilities to installers.
- Ensure installations are completed according to project schedules, approved drawings, and company quality standards.
- Verify site measurements, dimensions, conditions, and accessibility before and during installation.
- Identify site and installation issues and develop practical solutions in coordination with project managers, designers, contractors, and clients.
- Inspect completed work for proper alignment, fit, finish, operation, and overall workmanship.
- Complete final adjustments, touch-ups, hardware installation, and deficiency corrections.
- Maintain accurate records of installation progress, deficiencies, site conditions, and additional work.
- Ensure materials, tools, hardware, and equipment are organized and available for each installation.
- Maintain a clean, professional, and safe work environment at all job sites.
- Train, mentor, and provide daily direction to installers and junior team members.
- Communicate professionally with clients, site supervisors, trades, contractors, and internal team members.
- Ensure all work complies with company procedures, job-site requirements, and applicable health and safety regulations.
- Travel to job sites throughout Ontario and across North America when required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Extensive experience installing custom cabinetry and architectural millwork is required.
- Previous experience supervising or leading a millwork installation team is required.
- Strong knowledge of high-end residential and commercial millwork installation.
- Ability to read and understand detailed shop drawings, architectural drawings, elevations, plans, and specifications.
- Skilled in operating power tools, hand tools, laser levels, and installation equipment.
- Strong understanding of cabinetry construction, hardware, materials, finishes, and installation methods.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage installation schedules and coordinate multiple job-site requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to superior workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and make responsible decisions on site.
- Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and installing millwork components.
- Valid Ontario G driver’s licence with a clean driving record is required.
- Must be able to drive company vehicles and travel between company locations and job sites.
- Must be available to travel throughout Ontario and across North America, including overnight travel when required.
- Must be adaptable regarding working hours based on installation schedules and project requirements.

Only applicants with extensive custom millwork installation and team leadership experience will be considered.
Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
