Contribute to elite athletic performance as the Assistant Coach for Strength & Conditioning at Western University. This in-person role centers on enhancing the health and success of student-athletes.
The Assistant Coach is integral to the Student Experience portfolio, collaborating with various sports staff to design and assess strength and conditioning programs. This role aims to support student-athletes by reducing injury risks while improving their overall performance in a competitive environment. You'll also oversee facility operations, ensuring safety and efficacy in training.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop comprehensive conditioning programs for athletes • Track progress and adjust training routines as needed • Provide individualized support and performance monitoring • Collaborate with athletic therapy and medicine professionals • Manage protected operations of training facilities
Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Sport Management, or similar • NSCA CSCS certification or equivalent • Minimum 1-3 years of coaching experience • First Aid/CPR certification required • Strong competitive sports background preferred
