Job Description Join Our Growing Geology Team! Were looking for an experienced Senior Geologist, Production to join our team at Levack Mine.
This is a hands-on senior role where your geological expertise will directly support ore control, production decisions, reconciliation, and resource definition while working closely with Mine Planning, Engineering, Operations, and Metallurgy.
Were looking for someone who knows underground geology, can lead and mentor others, and understands how good geological decisions translate into better mining outcomes.

What Youll Be Doing Youll have the opportunity to: Design, implement, and perform grade control, geological mapping, orebody interpretation, reconciliation, and resource definition practices and procedures.
Design and execute diamond drilling programs, core logging, sampling, and QA/QC practices.
Maintain accurate and current geological models, including short-term block models.
Collaborate with Exploration on near-mine drilling programs.
Supervise and mentor Geologists, Technologists, and field personnel involved in production geology.
Ensure production geology activities meet health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Deliver monthly production reconciliation between the mine and resource model.
Prepare and deliver reports on geological performance, ore quality, and team KPIs.
Identify and implement improvements to geological processes and technologies.
Work closely with Mine Planning, Engineering, Operations, and Metallurgy to optimize resource extraction.
Liaise with external consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies as required.
Requirements Who Were Looking For You might be a great fit if you: Have post-secondary education in Geological Sciences,
Geological Engineering, or a related field.
Hold a Professional Geoscientist designation in Ontario or are eligible to obtain registration with PGO.
Bring 7+ years of geology experience, with a focus on underground mining operations.
Have strong experience with geological modelling software such as Datamine or Leapfrog.
Bring a sound understanding of underground mining methods.
Understand the regulatory and safety requirements of underground mining.
Communicate effectively and work well across technical and operational teams.
Are comfortable providing technical leadership and mentoring others.

Requirements Qualifications: Formal Education, Certifications or Equivalents Post-secondary education in Geological Sciences, Geological Engineering, or a related field.
Professional Geoscientist designation in Ontario or eligibility to obtain PGO is required.
Work Experience: Nature & Length 7 or more years of mineral exploration, with a focus on underground mining operations.
Key Competencies: Behaviours & Skills Expertise in geological modeling software (e.g., Datamine, Leapfrog).
Effective communication skills.
Sound knowledge of underground mining methods.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and safety practices in underground mining.
