Rainbow District School Board with schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island requires a Contract Social Worker to work supporting our schools.

Under the supervision of the Mental Health Lead the successful candidates will provide social work services that build knowledge of mental health, promoting mentally healthy habits and skills.

The social workers will facilitate whole class group based interventions to support the acquisition of resilience skills.

Consultation and collaboration with school personnel, parents and community agencies will enhance the academic success and social-emotional wellbeing of each student.

The successful candidate must have a Masters in Social Work,



be registered with the College of Social Workers of Ontario and have extensive training and experience working in the area of youth mental health and group work.

Candidates should have knowledge of relevant legislation and excellent communication and report writing skills.

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team is required.
