At the Vermillion Room, our Baristas are responsible for delivering a refined, welcoming experience while also supporting cocktail service during breakfast and lunch.

In this role, you will skillfully prepare specialty coffees, espresso-based beverages, and select cocktails, while engaging with guests, maintaining an immaculate service area, and anticipating guest needs.

Youll be part of a collaborative team that upholds Fairmont service standards and creates meaningful moments with every interaction.

Starting Rate: $18.75 per hour We recognize tenure through our compensation.

Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years.

At three years the pay rate for this role would be $20.12 Job Duties Include: Discuss food and beverage items, make suggestions and answer any guest inquiries Take guest orders accurately and process purchases using the POS system Operate coffee making equipment and present beverages according to recipe and presentation standards Prepare and present specialty coffees, espresso-based drinks, and cocktails for breakfast and lunch service according to established recipes and presentation standards Have full knowledge of all food and beverage menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods Maintain cleanliness, organization, and stock levels of the barista and bar service areas Maintain accurate billing, cash handling and float procedures Other duties as assigned Qualifications Your Skills & Qualifications: Must have Pro-Serve





Certification Previous Barista or Food& Beverage experience in a high-volume and fast paced environment required of at least one year.
