The Manufacturing Test Technologist supports Redlen's production operations through the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, qualification, and continuous improvement of manufacturing test equipment and processes.
Working closely with Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations, this hands-on role helps ensure equipment reliability, product quality, process consistency, and production efficiency in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
This role is 100% onsite at our Saanichton production facility. Shift work will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the assembly, installation,
qualification, operation, and maintenance of manufacturing test equipment and fixtures.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, software, and process-related issues to minimize downtime and support production objectives.
- Collect and analyze equipment and process data to identify opportunities for improvement and support data-driven decision making.
- Participate in root cause investigations, corrective actions, equipment qualification, process validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, work instructions, maintenance records, and configuration-controlled engineering documents.
- Train and support production personnel on equipment operation, test procedures, and standardized work practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment performance, product quality, and manufacturing efficiency.
Qualifications
Required
- Diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three or more years of experience supporting manufacturing equipment or automated test systems in a production environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, or automated systems.
- Experience supporting quality systems, root cause analysis, CAPA activities, and continuous improvement programs.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation.
Preferred
- Experience with equipment qualification, validation, and process verification.
- Experience in a regulated or high-technology manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks and automated test systems.
Pay / Compensation
$25.00 - $35.00 CAD
