Your work will include assisting with projects from initiation and developing building programs through the phases of schematic, design development, tender construction document, construction administration, and finally to completion of construction and occupancy.QualificationsMust HaveBachelor's degree in a related field (Architecture) plus five (5) years related experience.Active member and architect license with Nova Scotia Association of Architects (NSAA) or eligible for license in Nova Scotia (letter of eligibility may be requested).Have a strong technical background and a firm understanding of building systems and construction techniques.Ability to identify energy productive architectural design solutions whenever possible to reduce consumption and running cost of buildings.Experience working with departmental management/stakeholders and providing feedback and negotiating changes to contracts or agreements.Demonstrates initiative in resolving problems while maintaining commitment to schedule, budget and enforcement of policies.Nice to HaveExperience leading and motivating a project team while inspiring confidence and creativityHave familiarity with AutoCAD, project management software, and project management principles and have advanced verbal and written communication skills.Excellent professionalism and judgementGood business sense and effective risk managementThe Fine PrintAn equivalent combination of training, education and experience may be considered.This position requires a valid driver's licence, access to a reliable vehicle,
