Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair telecommunication lines, including fiber optics, copper cables, and low voltage systems across various locations.
- Operate bucket trucks, forklifts, and other specialized equipment safely to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas.
- Perform wiring and electrical work related to network infrastructure, ensuring compliance with safety standards and technical specifications.
- Conduct inspections of network components such as WAN (Wide Area Network) connections and telephony systems to identify issues and implement solutions.
- Weld and perform other mechanical tasks necessary for the installation or repair of utility poles and related structures.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex network problems involving low voltage systems or telecommunication equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, safety checks, and equipment used to ensure accurate documentation for ongoing maintenance.
Qualifications
- Proven knowledge of telecommunication systems, network infrastructure, and low voltage wiring.
- Ability to operate bucket trucks safely for elevated work tasks; certification in bucket operation is preferred.
- Experience with forklift operation in a utility or construction environment.
- Familiarity with welding techniques used in utility pole or structure maintenance.
- Strong understanding of telephony systems and WAN (Wide Area Network) configurations.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while adhering to safety protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting network or electrical issues.
- Must posses a valid AZ, ARZ or DZ Licence with a clean abstract and CVOR
