Position Overview

Barricades and Signs is seeking a Temporary General Labourer for a one-day assignment on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. The successful candidate will assist our field team with the installation of guardrail, cable barrier, and other roadside safety systems.

Working under the direction of the Site Superintendent and Foreman, the General Labourer will help team members complete assigned work safely and efficiently.

Assignment length: One day

Shift length: Approximately 10–12 hours

Work environment: Outdoor, physically demanding field work

Key Responsibilities

- Assist team members with the installation of guardrail, cable barrier, and related roadside safety systems
- Load, unload, carry, and organize tools, equipment, and installation materials
- Support site setup,



general clean-up, and other labour-intensive tasks
- Follow instructions provided by the Site Superintendent and Foreman
- Remain aware of surrounding equipment, vehicles, and work-site hazards
- Follow all company and site-specific safety requirements
- Work cooperatively with the field team to support safe and timely project completion

Qualifications

- Previous construction, installation, or general labour experience is an asset
- Physically capable of performing manual labour and lifting materials throughout a 10–12-hour shift
- Comfortable working outdoors and around active construction equipment
- Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Dependable, punctual, and available to work the entire scheduled shift
- Strong commitment to safe work practices

This is a paid, temporary chance for one day only. Applicants must be available Wednesay, September 9, 2026 and prepared to work approximately 10–12 hours. Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
