Job Summary

GT Landscape and Construction Inc. is looking for a reliable Temporary Landscape Construction Labourer to join our crew for approximately 4–6 weeks, with the possibility of additional work depending on project needs.

This is a hands-on outdoor position supporting landscape construction and property improvement projects, with upcoming work including retaining walls, armour stone installation, site preparation, stone work and general landscape construction.

The ideal candidate is comfortable with physical outdoor work, takes direction well and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. Experience with construction, landscaping or equipment operation is an asset.

Pay: $25–$30/hour, based on experience

Hours: Approximately 22–40 hours/week, depending on project schedule and weather

Duration: Approximately 4–6 weeks

Location: Stayner and surrounding areas

What You'll Be Doing

- Assist with construction of retaining walls and other landscape structures
- Assist with armour stone and other stone installation
- Prepare and level work areas and job sites
- Move, place and handle stone, soil, gravel and other materials
- Assist with excavation, grading and site preparation
- Load, unload and organize tools, equipment and materials
- Use hand tools and power tools safely
- Assist with general landscaping and property improvement work
- Perform job-site cleanup and maintain a safe, organized work area
- Follow direction from the crew lead and work safely as part of a team

Equipment Experience — An Asset Experience operating or working around landscaping and construction equipment is an advantage.

Experience with equipment such as:

- Mini excavators
- Skid steers




- Plate compactors
- Saws and other power tools
- Other small construction or landscaping equipment

Equipment operation is not required for the right candidate, but experience will be considered when determining starting pay.

- Previous landscaping, construction, excavation or general labour experience is an asset
- Comfortable performing physically demanding outdoor work
- Able to lift, carry and move materials as required
- Comfortable working around construction equipment
- Able to use basic hand and power tools safely

- Able to work independently when given a task
- Takes pride in doing the job properly

About the Position This is a short-term position of approximately 4–6 weeks, making it a good fit for someone looking for temporary outdoor construction or landscaping work.

The weekly schedule will vary between approximately 22 and 40 hours depending on project requirements, weather and scheduling.

There may be opportunities for additional work beyond the initial project depending on workload and fit.
