Position Summary The Release Support Coordinator will work in accordance with the mission, vision, and the mandate of the Sagitawa Friendship Society. In using traditional teachings and ways of life, the Release Support Coordinator works with clients to create a robust release plan that outlines strategies for the client’s success when released from the Peace River Correctional Facility. They are knowledgeable of the resources and support available to clients in the community and can build relationships with clients in a caring and non-judgmental manner.

They are a team player who contributes to a safe, respectful and productive work environment for clients, their colleagues, and the community.

Qualifications The successful candidate shall possess the following qualifications:

· Completion or working towards education in Social,



Human Services or related field is considered an asset

· 2+ years experience in the social or human services field

· 2+ years working with vulnerable clientele

· A combination of related education and experience may be considered

· Knowledge and respect for Indigenous Cultures

· Knowledge of local services and community resources

· Knowledge of developments regarding trauma informed care, mental health, addictions, social housing, and vulnerable populations is considered an asset

· Proficient with using Microsoft Office (word, excel) and social media

· Completion of Suicide Prevention Certificate or Trauma Informed training or education is considered an asset

· Provide a satisfactory Criminal Record

· Class 5 driver’s license

This is a temporary position that starts immediately until October 30, 2026 with potential for extension.

Pay: $25.84-$32.81 per hour
