Job Overview The Tenant Relations Office is responsible for maintaining effective relationships between tenants and the Local Housing Organization (LHO)
Skills requirements:
· Ability to read and comprehend legal documents.
· Well-developed communication skills including the ability to use effective listening and verbal communication skills.
· Proficient computer skills including the ability to effective operate word processing and spreadsheet programs.
· Ability to maintain records.
· Ability and willingness to keep up-to-date with technology.
Minimum Qualification/Education:
· Completion of Business Administration Diploma or equivalent;
· Working knowledge of NWT Tenancy Act, Housing Legislation, relevant regulations, CMHC Housing programs and lease agreements and experience implementing such acts & policies;
· Experience administering lease agreement, property management or similar is required;
· Experience in a housing administration setting and dealing with social agencies, tribunals, evictions and data tracking of tenants is an asset;
· Training and experience in conflict resolution and negotiation;
· Excellent public relation skills with the ability to gain and maintain trust;
· Strong organizational and analytical skills are essential; conscientiousness with sensitive matters and materials;
· Strong interpersonal skills combined with valuable written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of social housing and issues frequently faced by tenants, with the ability to encourage healthy behaviors and home maintenance.
Pay: $35.44-$39.90 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
