Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or mortar.
- Measure, cut, and lay tiles accurately using hand tools such as trowels, cutters, and saws.
- Install flooring materials including ceramic, porcelain, stone tiles, or other specified surfaces.
- Ensure proper sealing and caulking around edges to prevent water damage and ensure longevity.
- Maintain a clean work area by organizing tools and disposing of debris efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools used in tile laying, flooring installation, and carpentry.
- Construction experience with a focus on tile installation or related trades.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately to execute detailed design plans.
- Strong knowledge of flooring installation techniques and materials.
- Skilled in caulking, grout application, and finishing touches for professional results.
- Handyman experience is a plus for troubleshooting in office challenges.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with physical stamina for demanding tasks.
