About the Role:

The TGS Furniture Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of furniture products manufactured and serviced by the company.



This position involves assembling, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of furniture items to meet customer specifications and company standards. The technician will work closely with production teams and quality control to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions that enhance product durability and customer satisfaction.

Additionally, the role requires adherence to safety protocols and efficient time management to meet project deadlines. Ultimately, the TGS Furniture Technician contributes to the overall success of the company by delivering expertly crafted and reliable furniture solutions across Canada.

Minimum Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in furniture assembly, repair, or a related technical field.
- Basic knowledge of woodworking tools, machinery, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certification or diploma in furniture technology, carpentry, or a related trade.
- Experience working with a variety of furniture styles and materials including wood, metal, and upholstery.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in using power tools and specialized furniture assembly equipment.




- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

- Assemble furniture components accurately according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of furniture to ensure longevity and functionality.
- Inspect finished products for defects or inconsistencies and coordinate with quality control teams to address any issues.
- Collaborate with production and design teams to improve assembly processes and product designs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work workplace by following all safety guidelines and company policies.
- Manage inventory of tools, parts, and materials required for furniture assembly and repair.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and apprentices as needed.

Skills: The required skills such as manual dexterity and the ability to read technical drawings are essential for accurately assembling and repairing furniture to meet quality standards. Knowledge of woodworking tools and machinery enables the technician to efficiently handle various materials and components during daily tasks.

Preferred skills like familiarity with safety regulations ensure that the technician maintains a safe working environment, reducing risks and promoting compliance. Communication and teamwork skills facilitate collaboration with colleagues and support continuous improvement in production processes.
