Tool & Die Maker Responsibilities

- Build, repair, modify, and maintain dies, tooling, jigs, gauges, and related components
- Troubleshoot mechanical and tooling issues with minimal supervision
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, models, and specifications
- Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances using calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, and other precision measuring equipment
- Fit and assemble parts using machine tools and hand tools
- Operate Tool Room machinery and equipment safely
- Assist with die changes using forklifts and cranes as required
- Complete work orders and required production documentation
- Perform material handling related to Tool Room activities
- Work closely with production, engineering, and other Tool Room team members
- Follow all plant Health, Safety, Environmental,



and quality procedures

Tool & Die Maker Qualifications

- Valid 430A Tool & Die Maker licence
- Minimum 4 years of related Tool & Die experience
- Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Strong die repair, troubleshooting, modification, and maintenance skills
- Ability to operate Tool Room equipment independently
- Strong blueprint reading and precision measurement skills
- Good mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Forklift and crane experience considered an asset
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
