16–24 hours per week The Ministry of Coffee has been serving Ottawa since 2013, offering high‑quality drinks made with coffees roasted by some of the best specialty roasters around the world.
Since launching our own roasting program in 2022, we’ve been focused on showcasing some of the most exciting flavour profiles in the modern coffee market, with a strong emphasis on light‑roast, origin‑forward coffees.
We’re looking for a Trainee Specialty Coffee Barista to join our team and grow into a confident product ambassador for our in‑house roasted beans.
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for service and creating great guest experiences
- A keen interest in modern specialty coffee, flavour, and brewing
- Hospitality or customer‑service experience is preferred
- Ability to follow instructions, learn quickly, and work cleanly
- Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to grow with the team
What You’ll Do
- Serve customers with warm, efficient,
and professional service
- Learn modern espresso techniques, milk steaming, and workflow
- Support retail sales by confidently discussing our coffees
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Assist with daily café operations and team tasks
