IS2 Workforce Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a well-established client for a Production Supervisor to lead daily operations within their bagging department.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced team lead or supervisor who enjoys being involved in day-to-day operations, knows how to keep a team moving, and isn''t afraid to speak up and provide transparent direction.
The department is a smaller, hands-on operation consisting of approximately 515 production employees and 23 machine operators .
The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping daily production on track while balancing people leadership, production priorities, and computer-based planning.
Location: Edmonton Area, AB Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Wage: $23.00$25.00/hour, with flexibility for an exceptional candidate What You''ll Be Doing Oversee the day-to-day activities of the bagging/production department Directly supervise and provide leadership to approximately 515 production employees and 23 machine operators Plan and coordinate daily production activities to meet operational requirements Assign work, communicate priorities, and ensure employees understand daily expectations Monitor workflow and keep the department moving efficiently throughout the shift Work closely with machine operators to address production issues and minimize downtime Provide clear, confident direction and address performance or operational concerns when required Use the company''s ERP system and other computer programs to plan, track, and execute daily production activities Ensure production records and information are entered accurately and on time Support safe work practices, quality standards, and company procedures Identify opportunities to improve workflow,
productivity, and overall department performance Communicate effectively with other departments and members of the management team What We''re Looking For Previous leadership, team lead, supervisory, or production leadership experience A confident communicator who is comfortable giving direction and holding employees accountable Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage changing priorities Comfortable working with computers and learning new systems Experience working with an ERP system is considered a strong asset Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, food, warehouse, or similar environment Produce or food production experience is an asset but is not required Bagging equipment experience is not required training can be provided Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment A hands-on leadership style and willingness to jump in when needed Dependable, professional, and able to build respect with a production team Compensation Starting wage: $23.00$25.00/hour There may be flexibility above this range for an exceptional candidate who brings strong supervisory experience and meets all of the key requirements.
