About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Lifelong Learning to play a pivotal role in the strategic leadership and management of lifelong learning initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of professional education and upskilling programs. This includes overseeing the division's support for the development and delivery of not-for-credit opportunities, such as micro-credentials and certificate programs, targeted at a diverse range of learners.
The role involves close collaboration with various academic and administrative divisions, and the incumbent will be expected to ensure that the division meets the evolving needs of learners across the institution.
Candidates for the Executive Director position must have a minimum of 8 years' of senior administrative experience, with a strong background in program management and a proven track record in revenue generation and educational program development. Essential qualifications include a post-graduate degree, with a PhD preferred, and a focus on lifelong learning principles, program planning, and evaluation. The role requires a leader with a dynamic and responsive approach, extensive knowledge of educational services and public policy, and experience in managing change within a complex setting. The ideal candidate will be a transformative and innovative leader, adept at using technology to enhance efficiencies, and will have a strong understanding of business and client development. Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills are also essential.
