Position SummaryNetwork Specialist. Supports and maintains the organization’s enterprise network and voice infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments. Focuses on performance, security and reliability through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance and the implementation of security controls, network resilience and standard procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the Network and Voice environment (on/off‑prem) as part of a team of Technology Specialists.Configure and administer routing and switching equipment, hosted Teams Phones (Voice), Operator Connect, firewalls, SD‑WAN solutions, load balancers and branch Wi‑Fi.Recommend, plan and implement Azure networking solutions.Deploy solutions using the Azure Portal, PowerShell, Azure CLI and ARM templates.Maximize network performance by monitoring, troubleshooting outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with specialists on optimization.Secure network systems by establishing policies and monitoring access.Handle multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring compatibility with current standards and alignment with future goals.Execute defined maintenance plans as part of IT’s preventive strategy for stability and reliability of infrastructure.Design and implement new solutions and improve resilience of the current environment.Support and administer firewall environments in line with IT security policy.Assist in building and maintaining standard operating procedures for all assigned technologies.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesSubject‑matter expertise in network and voice technologies and experience as an internal consultant.Expertise on LAN, WAN, VXLAN, WLAN,



Wi‑Fi built on Cisco infrastructure.Experience managing Teams Phones, call queues and Operator Connect hosted services.Expertise in planning, implementing and maintaining Azure networking solutions, including hybrid networking, connectivity, routing, security and private access to Azure services.Detailed IP routing knowledge (OSPF, BGP, MPLS‑based IP VPNs).Experience with network load balancers and SD‑WAN solutions.Knowledge and hands‑on expertise on PaloAlto firewalls and Zero Trust networking.Detailed knowledge of Windows networking services (DNS, DHCP, DFSR).Voice technologies: SIP, H323, SCCP, RTP protocols.Cisco IOS hands‑on expertise.Virtual server technologies expertise.Non‑Technical SkillsAbility to prioritize and plan workload to meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.Strong interpersonal skills – ability to interact with and build effective relationships at all levels.Ability to work with third‑party vendors to ensure commitments are met and delivered on time.Customer‑oriented, service‑oriented and goal‑focused with enthusiasm and tenacity.Comfort learning and adopting new digital tools, with openness to AI‑enabled technology to enhance productivity and member experience.Education,



Designation & Experience8+ years of related industry or professional experience implementing and managing technologies in a complex, multi‑platform environment with responsibility for problem identification and resolution.CCNA, CCNP or CCIE – preferred.Office Location & Work ArrangementToronto Corporate Office – 3280 Bloor Street West or St. Catharines Office – 75 Corporate Park Drive.
