It is required for all jobs.Job Description And ResponsibilitiesTo lay out work, set up and operate machine tools, and perform any dismantling, fitting, or assembly work required for plant maintenance or construction.Machine parts are produced to meet precision tolerances and specified finishes. Receives instructions, prints, and work ordersInterprets drawings and sketches, plans, and determines working proceduresPerforms and lays out work and makes sketches of parts as requiredCalculates dimensions, tapers, indices, and other data using shop formulas and handbooks as neededSelects and grinds tools according to the hardness, machinability, and other properties of the parts to be machinedProcures or makes jigs, fixtures, or machine attachments required for the jobSet up and operate machine tools by adjusting the stops, feeds,
