Job Title: Avionics & Communication IPT Head Location: Montreal, Canada Work Arrangement: Full-time / On-site Salary: CAD $110K $140K/Annum Experience: 12 18+ Years Industry: Aerospace / Aviation / Avionics Job Description: Seeking an experienced Avionics & Communication IPT Head to lead cross-functional avionics teams and drive aircraft-level system development, integration, and certification.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in avionics architecture, aircraft NPD programs, IPT leadership, system integration, and certification.

Key Responsibilities Lead the Avionics & Communication IPT and manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, technical performance, and milestones.

Coordinate systems, hardware, software, V&V;, certification, electrical, and integration engineering teams.

Define and manage avionics architecture covering VHF/UHF, SATCOM, data links, GNSS, INS, navigation, flight control, and monitoring systems.

Drive system-level trade studies, architecture decisions, requirements,



and interface definitions.

Lead LRU and aircraft-level avionics integration and support HIL/SIL, ground testing, and flight testing.

Ensure compliance with ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-178C, and DO-254.

Develop/review SRD, ICD, architecture documents, compliance matrices, test plans, and certification artifacts.

Support FAA, EASA, and DGCA certification activities and interface with certification authorities and DERs/ARs.

Manage technical risks, configuration management, engineering changes, and cross-IPT dependencies.

Lead distributed onsite/offshore engineering teams and support proposals/RFQs.

Required Skills 10 18+ years of Aerospace / Aviation experience.

Avionics Systems Development and Aircraft NPD experience.

Strong IPT / cross-functional team leadership.

Avionics System Architecture & Integration. DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754A, ARP4761.

Aircraft Certification experience.

Preferred Skills VHF/UHF, SATCOM, Data Links, GNSS, INS, Navigation. ARINC 429, ARINC 664, CAN.

Flight Deck/Cockpit Systems, HIL/SIL. FAA/EASA/DGCA certification. EWIS and Electrical Power System integration.
