The Case Worker provides direct services to children, youth, and families through assessment, planning, intervention, and support. The position works to ensure the safety and well-being of children while supporting families in achieving positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Case Management
- Complete assessments and develop case plans.
- Provide ongoing support and monitoring.
- Coordinate services and referrals.
- Conduct home visits and client meetings.
- Prepare reports and maintain documentation.
- Participate in case conferences and team meetings.
Advocacy & Support
- Advocate for children and families.
- Connect clients with community resources.
- Support family reunification and permanency planning.
- Ensure services are culturally appropriate.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Social Work or a related field.
- Experience working with vulnerable children and families.
- Solid assessment and communication skills.
- Knowledge of child welfare legislation and practices.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Valid Manitoba Driver's Licence.
- Child Abuse Registry, Adult Abuse Registry, and Criminal Record Checks required.
