6 Month Contract to Hire Opportunity
A leading financial institution is seeking a Java Developer to join their team.

The team is building and modernizing an overarching internal platform.

It is a centralized portal that will host multiple internal applications used by employees.

This resource will be modernizing and replacing legacy contact-centre applications with new cloud-based web applications built from scratch.

The team supports approximately 8,000 internal contact-centre users and is actively migrating aging technology to the new portal.

Context: The initiative is a new in-house application focused on replacing and modernizing the legacy Customer Relations System (CRS).

The existing CRS application was used by Contact Centre agents to log customer complaints, document interactions, maintain case records, and track customer issues throughout the resolution lifecycle.

The selected resource will be supporting the migration of customer relations functionality from the legacy platform to the new application, ensuring continuity of core capabilities while creating a scalable framework for future enhancements and expanded business use cases.

Job Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and backend services supporting the customer relations platform.

Develop RESTful APIs and microservices to enable customer complaint management, case tracking, and customer interaction history functionalities.

Support the migration of business processes and functionality from the legacy Customer Relations System (CRS) to the new in-house application.

Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, QA teams, and UI developers to gather requirements and deliver scalable technical solutions.

Implement new features and enhancements to improve contact centre agent workflows and overall customer service operations.

Participate in application design discussions, code reviews, and technical solution development following enterprise development standards.

Integrate backend services with front-end applications and other enterprise systems to ensure seamless data exchange and user experience.

Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes to ensure application stability and performance.

Create and execute unit, integration, and system tests to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Optimize application performance, maintain code quality,



and ensure adherence to security and compliance requirements.

Work within an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.

Pay and Advantages
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
