**Job Title: Construction Technician**
**Job Description**
As a Construction Technician, you will refurbish, repair, and prepare modular units for reuse, ensuring they are safe, functional, and presentable.

You will perform a variety of construction and renovation tasks in a comfortable, climate-controlled shop environment, while also assisting with unit setups as needed.
**Responsibilities**
Clean, refurbish, and repair modular units when they return to the facility, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.

Perform basic construction and renovation tasks such as minor framing, carpentry, and installing or repairing interior elements.

Put up minor walls and partitions inside modular units according to specifications.

Inspect and repair components such as wheels and other mechanical parts on the modular units.

Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete daily tasks.

Assist with setup and installation of modular units at various locations when required.

Perform basic work related to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC within the modular units as needed, within your skill level.

Follow instructions, work from basic plans or directions, and complete tasks with attention to detail.

Support general shop activities and help with various tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and adhere to all safety procedures.
**Essential Skills**
Experience using basic hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, and screwdrivers.

Experience using basic power tools in a construction or renovation environment.

Prior exposure to a construction site or renovation environment.

Basic renovation experience, including tasks such as framing and carpentry.

Ability to perform minor wall construction and simple interior build-outs.

Capability to perform basic repairs on modular unit components, including wheels and similar parts.

Comfort working around basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC elements in a support capacity.

Ability to follow safety procedures and use tools and equipment responsibly.

Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks with minimal rework.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Any construction-related certifications are highly beneficial.

Previous experience in general construction, renovation, or modular unit work is an advantage.

Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, or HVAC systems is helpful.

Willingness to learn current skills and take on a variety of tasks as needed.

Ability to collaborate effectively with a small team in a shop environment.

**Work Environment**
You will primarily work in an indoor construction bay equipped with air conditioning, providing a comfortable and climate-controlled environment for daily tasks.

The shop operates with a small, close-knit team, allowing for robust collaboration and direct communication.

While most work occurs inside the bay, you will occasionally work outdoors as needed for setups or related tasks.

The role follows a day shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., offering consistent daytime hours.

You will regularly use hand and power tools and work around construction materials and modular units in a well-organized, safety-conscious shop setting.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Innisfil, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
