**Job Title: General Labor**
**Job Description**
This role supports the manufacturing of HVAC ducts and venting systems for residential and commercial buildings.

You will work in a precision fabrication environment, operating at different stations with various machines and tools to press, bend, weld, and form metal components.

You may also rotate into cable assembly and packaging as needed.

Each day you will receive specific work orders and follow them carefully to complete customer orders accurately and on time.

The position requires regular handling of metal pieces that can weigh up to 50 lbs and the ability to read and interpret instructions and measurements.
**Responsibilities**
Operate a variety of machines and tools to press, bend, weld, and form metal components according to work orders.

Work at assigned stations throughout the plant to support precision fabrication of HVAC ducts and venting systems.

Read and follow daily work orders to complete tasks accurately and meet customer specifications.

Use measuring tools, including imperial measurement systems, to ensure parts meet required dimensions and tolerances.

Handle and move metal pieces and components weighing up to 50 lbs safely and efficiently.

Assist in the cable assembly department as required, including assembling components and performing related tasks.

Support packaging activities by preparing finished products for shipment and ensuring correct labeling and quantities.

Use hand and power tools safely to cut, shape, and finish metal components and assemblies.

Inspect work for quality and precision, identifying and reporting any defects or issues to supervisors.

Maintain a clean and organized work area in an industrial production environment.

Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to plant safety rules.

Adapt to different tasks and stations as production needs change throughout the day.
**Essential Skills**
Previous manufacturing experience in a production or industrial environment.

Proven ability to work with measurements using the imperial system.

Experience using hand tools and power tools in a fabrication or manufacturing setting.

Ability to regularly lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Willingness to rotate between different stations, including fabrication, cable assembly, and packaging.

Robust attention to detail to support precision fabrication work.
**Work Environment**




This position is based in a loud industrial production facility focused on metal fabrication.

Work is performed on shift schedules, with an afternoon shift from 3:30 p.m. to midnight.

You will work with manufacturing equipment, metal fabrication machinery, and hand and power tools throughout the day.

The dress code requires no shorts, no hats, and no loose-fitting clothing, bracelets, or necklaces, to support safety around machines and moving equipment.

Pay for this position is $19.81 + $1.00 premium = $20.81/h
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Etobicoke, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.81 - $19.81/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
