**Job Title: Machine Operator Level 2P**
**Job Description**
The Machine Operator Level 2P sets up and operates a variety of automatic and semi-automatic machines to support production.

This role follows process sheets and written or verbal instructions to complete production tasks, checks work against predetermined tolerances, and collaborates frequently with peers and internal customers to share factual information.

The position involves semi-routine assignments that occasionally require deviation from standard practices, and it operates within established procedures, with guidance provided primarily for new tasks.
**Responsibilities**
Set up and operate a variety of automatic and semi-automatic machines used in the production of company products.

Follow process sheets, written instructions, and verbal directions from supervisors to perform production tasks accurately and efficiently.

Check and inspect parts and operations against predetermined tolerances to ensure quality standards are met.

Read and interpret wiring schematics and blueprints to perform panel wiring and assembly tasks.

Use manual tools and power tools safely to perform assembly, wiring, and machine operation activities.

Handle components and perform re-tooling activities in alignment with forming principles such as bend allowance and radius.

Utilize a computer to view, log, and locate job-related information in systems such as SAP and FTPC.

Interact efficiently with business system computer software and machinery to support production workflows.

Read and understand written instructions, including CSPs and DWIs, and apply them consistently in daily work.

Work in a self-directed manner within a team environment, contributing to team goals and production objectives.

Apply problem-solving skills to address issues that arise during production and identify when to deviate from routine practices within guidelines.

Communicate frequently with peers and internal customers to exchange factual information related to production status and quality.

Receive assignments in the form of objectives and follow the defined processes to meet those goals.

Follow established procedures for routine work and seek instructions as needed for new or unfamiliar assignments.

Perform all duties in a safe manner, adhering to safety practices when using tools, machinery, and equipment.
**Essential Skills**
At least 1 year of related experience in a production, machine operation, or similar environment.

High school education or GED.

Ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of a Machine Operator 1P as a prerequisite.

Experience with panel wiring and general wiring tasks.

Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics and blueprints.

Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

Strong technical aptitude to understand machine operations and production processes.

Ability to read and understand written instructions, including CSPs and DWIs.

Ability to utilize a computer to view, log, and find job-related information in systems such as SAP and FTPC.

Capability to interact with business system computer software and machinery efficiently.





Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a production or technical environment.

Ability to work self-directed within a team environment.

Knowledge of safe use of manual tools, power tools, and machinery.

Understanding of forming principles such as bend allowance and radius.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Previous experience in assembly work within a manufacturing or production setting.

Comfort working with semi-routine assignments and recognizing when to deviate from standard practices within defined guidelines.

Strong attention to detail when checking and inspecting operations against predetermined tolerances.

Effective communication skills for frequent interaction with peers and internal customers.

Ability to adapt to new assignments and processes with minimal supervision once trained.

The environment emphasizes safety, adherence to established procedures, and teamwork while handling components, performing re-tooling, and working with forming processes.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of CAMBRIDGE, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.70 - $24.70/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
