Cadillac Services and Heave Away Waste Management are looking for someone to join our local team and handle the day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs that keep our trucks and equipment safe, reliable and ready to work.

WE’RE HIRING: TRUCK & EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE PERSON

Positive with tools? Know your way around trucks and heavy equipment? We want to hear from you.

You’ll support the fleets of both companies, working on everything from garbage and dump trucks to excavators, loaders and other construction equipment.

This is not a heavy-duty mechanic position. We’re looking for someone who can handle the everyday fixes, stay on top of preventative maintenance, spot problems early and know when something needs to go to the shop for a bigger repair.

What You’ll Work On:

Dump trucks

Garbage trucks

Excavators and loaders

Wheeled and tracked construction equipment

Other trucks, trailers and equipment across both fleets

What You’ll Do:

- Replace hydraulic hoses and fittings
- Change oil, filters and fluids
- Grease and regularly service trucks and equipment
- Replace lights, batteries, belts and other basic parts
- Handle minor repairs and adjustments
- Complete regular equipment checks
- Spot problems before they turn into bigger ones
- Help with minor breakdowns and roadside fixes when needed
- Keep track of equipment that needs servicing or professional repair
- Work with our operations teams to help minimize downtime
- Keep our fleets safe, reliable and ready to get the job done

What We’re Looking For:

- Mechanically inclined and good with your hands
- Experience working around trucks, heavy equipment or machinery
- Comfortable with basic repairs and preventative maintenance




- Able to work independently and figure things out
- Reliable, hardworking and safety-minded
- Valid driver’s licence
- Class 3 licence is an asset
- WHMIS and First Aid are assets

You do not need to be a licensed mechanic. If you can turn a wrench, troubleshoot the everyday stuff and take pride in keeping equipment looked after, we want to talk to you.
