Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tube Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC (Computer Numerical Control) laser cutting machines to produce exact metal components according to detailed blueprints and specifications. Your expertise will ensure high-quality production, efficient workflow, and adherence to safety standards.

Duties

- Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines, including tube laser systems, ensuring accurate cuts based on technical drawings and blueprints
- Perform routine machine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal performance
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine proper machine settings and tooling requirements
- Conduct quality inspections of finished parts using calipers, measuring tapes, and other hand tools to verify dimensions meet specifications
- Assist with loading raw materials such as metal tubes or sheets onto the machine using cranes or forklifts safely




- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety protocols related to machining and material handling

Experience

- Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines, particularly tube laser systems or similar CNC machining equipment
- Familiarity with CNC programming languages and software used in laser cutting operations
- Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing equipment including plasma cutters, press brake machines, CNC lathes, milling machines, and welding processes is highly desirable
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, calipers, and quality inspection techniques in a manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to crane operation, forklift handling, machining environments, and material storage
- Prior experience working with manufacturing assembly processes is a plus
