Job TitleInstructor - Unit Clerk InstructorJob DescriptionInstructor to support our growing needs in the Unit Clerk Medical Office Assistant Program.ResponsibilitiesInstructs courses as assigned.Selects instructional strategies to meet learner needs.Creates lesson plans.Supports development and updating of curriculum, guides and rubrics as requested.Evaluates learner performance on an ongoing basis and provides learners and administrators with learner progress reports.Maintains official records as required.Facilitates learning within variety of settings.Familiar with classroom routine.Excellent organization and interpersonal skills.Provides a Positive Learning Experience for LearnersSupports learners navigating various challenges (attendance; conduct, performance).Identifies areas of concern and refers to the Program Coordinator if follow‑up is necessary.Refers learners to other institutional supports as required (tutoring,



counseling).Builds and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders and promotes the department and the college.Keeps current regarding changes in best practice and adapts facilitation as required.Assists with articulation and transfer activity for learners as required.Maintains a networking relationship with employers of Health Care Aides.Other Duties / Special ProjectsFollows ABES College policies and procedures.Completes any career development requirements.Other duties as assigned to support colleagues and the college in achieving its goals.Job RequirementsMinimum QualificationsNursing Diploma – CLPNA Practice Permit without restriction or Unit Clerk, or Medical Office Assistant Certificate.Minimum of 3 years of related experience.Enhanced police information check including vulnerable sector.Up‑to‑date immunization records.Ability to work during days, evenings, and weekends.PreferredPrior experience teaching in a clinical setting is an asset.Preferred education in adult teaching and learning.Curriculum development an asset.Industry relationship an asset.Strong understanding of the role and scope of the Licensed Practical Nurse and Health Care Aide.Job TypeCasual—Days, evenings, and weekends.Pay$34.00–$40.00 per hour.BenefitsDental careExtended health careLife insuranceOn‑site parkingVision careWork LocationHybrid remote in Calgary, AB.#J-18808-Ljbffr
