EIT is looking for a Vector Design Manager to spearhead the design and build strategies within the Crop Transformation Pipeline team.
You will leverage extensive expertise in commercial vector design and plant molecular biology to create transformation-ready constructs for various crops, including corn and wheat. This role emphasizes high-throughput transformation and molecular characterization across multifaceted food and agricultural challenges. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead vector design strategy for gene edited and transgenic crops
- Translate biology and transformation needs into effective vectors
- Provide expert guidance on CRISPR/Cas and multiplex editing
- Develop commercial-grade design rules for transformation efficiency
- Manage internal and external vector build activities Requirements:
- PhD in Plant Biotechnology or related field
- 5-7 years in plant biotechnology or genome editing
- Expertise in binary vectors and expression cassette design
- Robust project management and documentation skills
