Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable 1:1 aide to support an 26-month-old child with special needs in our daycare setting. This role focuses on providing attentive, safety-focused care, including feeding support, and maintaining a calm, consistent presence throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide individualized care, closely monitoring the child and responding thoughtfully to their needs.
- Support feeding routines, including slower-paced feeds, following specific instructions, and recognizing cues related to fatigue, stress, or readiness.
- Ensure the child’s safety at all times and respond appropriately in emergencies.
- Collaborate effectively with parents, therapists, and daycare staff to follow care strategies consistently.
- Maintain clear communication and follow-through within daily routines and transitions.
- Learn the child’s cues, routines, and preferences,



with training and support provided.

Qualifications:

- Experience supporting children with disabilities is an asset.
- Experience in daycare, early childhood education, or a related care setting is an asset.
- Calm, attentive, and safety-first approach.
- Patience and comfort with feeding support.
- Dependable, punctual, and self-directed with strong follow-through.
- Comfortable working as part of a care team.
- Open and willing to learn, with a desire to build strong relationships.
- Level 1 or 2 - Required
- First Aid / CPR certification required.
