About HTN

HomeTeam Live Technologies Inc. is a Canadian-headquartered live sports streaming company operating across Canada, the United States & beyond. We install and operate camera infrastructure at venues so that fans, families, scouts, and alumni can watch games that would otherwise never be broadcast — independent baseball, arena football, junior and youth hockey, college athletics, and school division sport. Our product suite also includes Highlight IQ, our AI-powered highlight generation platform.

We are a growing team, which means the person in this role owns real client relationships early rather than sitting on the edge of someone else’s.

Location:

For business reasons, the ideal candidate is based in Saskatchewan!

The Opportunity

This is a client-facing account management role. You are the named day-to-day contact for a portfolio of HTN streaming partners — school divisions, college and junior athletic departments, leagues, venues, and tournament organizers — and you are responsible for keeping them successful on the platform, renewing them season over season, and growing the value of each relationship over time.

Doing this well means genuinely knowing your accounts: who signs, who actually runs the venue on game night, when their season starts and ends, which sports they added this year, when their budget is set, who left and who took over. You learn that by talking to people — on the phone, not by reading tickets. Most of the growth in this role comes from partners we already have — more sports, more venues, more broadcast dates, Highlight IQ — not from a list of strangers.

You will sit in on renewal, expansion, and pricing conversations with senior staff, first as an observer and then as a participant. The path forward for someone who performs well is toward a larger and more complex book of accounts and, in time, their own deals.

What You’ll Do

Account Management (primary focus)

• Own a portfolio of approximately 20–40 active partner accounts as their named point of contact

- Run a structured check-in cadence — every account reached at least quarterly, priority accounts monthly and ahead of the start of each of their seasons
- Make those check-ins real conversations. A scheduled check-in is a phone call, not an email — email and text are for confirming what was said, not for avoiding the call
- Build and maintain real working knowledge of each client organization: decision makers, in office operators, sport calendar, budget cycle, staffing changes, and what a good season looks like to them
- Confirm season schedules, broadcast dates, and partner-side contacts ahead of each season
- Coordinate broadcast schedules, creative requests, and on-site logistics with our operations team
- Monitor stream performance and viewership across your accounts and get ahead of issues before the partner has to raise them
- Keep partner records, contacts, notes, and next steps accurate and current in the CRM

Retention & Growth
- Own renewal timelines for your book and open those conversations early rather than at expiry
- Identify and pursue upsell and expansion opportunities inside existing accounts — additional sports, venues, or camera installs, added broadcast dates, subscription upgrades, and Highlight IQ
- Prepare season recaps and usage summaries that show partners the value they are getting
- Bring pricing and multi-year renewal discussions to Business Development leadership with the account context needed to support them
- Flag at-risk accounts early, with the reason and a proposed plan to save them

Learning the Business

- Attend renewal, expansion, and demo calls as an observer, then as a participant
- Take notes, capture action items, and handle post-call follow-up

- Build working knowledge of HTN’s streaming model, camera infrastructure, subscription and per-event pricing, and the Highlight IQ product

What We’re Looking For

Required

- Comfort owning client relationships — being the person a partner calls when something is wrong, and the person who calls them when nothing is
- Willingness to pick up the phone and call your own clients. This is not a cold-calling role — these are people who already know us — but the relationship is built by voice. If your instinct is to send an email or a text instead of calling, this is not the right role
- Genuine curiosity about how client organizations work: who does what, what they are trying to accomplish, and what is changing for them
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication in English
- Organized and self-directed — able to carry a large book of accounts and a recurring check-in schedule without being chased
- Coachable: you want feedback and you apply it
- Basic computer literacy (email, spreadsheets, CRM or willingness to learn one quickly)
- Legally entitled to work in Canada

Nice to Have

- Prior account management, customer success, client service, or other customer-facing experience (retail, hospitality, fundraising, front desk)
- Familiarity with amateur, junior, high school, or college sport in Canada or the U.S. — as a player, official, volunteer, or fan
- Exposure to a CRM, customer success platform, or ticketing system
- Hands-on use of AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar — for account research, preparing check-in summaries, drafting partner communications, or summarizing call notes. We use them here, and you will be encouraged and supported to use them well.
- Interest in sports media, broadcast, or technology

Not required: a degree, or prior sales experience. We will teach the product and the commercial side of the relationship. We cannot teach caring whether a partner’s season goes well, or the willingness to pick up the phone and ask.
