Role Description The Accounting Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Georgetown, ON. This position oversees day-to-day accounting operations, including managing general ledger activities, reviewing journal entries, and ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements for multiple divisions.

The Accounting

Manager monitors fixed asset accounting, supports budgeting and forecasting, and performs variance and trend analyses to guide business decisions. The role also includes supervising accounting staff, maintaining internal controls, coordinating with external auditors,



and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies. Collaboration with operations, finance, and senior leadership is essential to support strategic planning and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

- Strong financial reporting capabilities, including preparing and reviewing Financial Statements and related schedules.
- Proficiency in core accounting functions, including Journal Entries (Accounting) and general ledger management.
- Solid understanding of Finance principles, budgeting, and cash flow management in a multi-entity workplace.
- Experience managing Fixed Assets, including capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, perform variance analysis, and support decision-making.
- Relevant post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional designation (CPA or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience in multi-division or multi-location organizations; exposure to transportation, logistics, or equipment industries is an asset.
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, advanced Excel skills, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team, prioritize multiple deadlines, and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels.
