Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Technician to join our fast-growing accounting and tax team. Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries and reconciliations.
- Perform bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online/Desktop, Xero or Sage.
- Prepare bank, credit card and other account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare or assist with T1, T2, T4, T5, T5008 and GST/HST returns.
- Assist with payroll processing, payroll remittances and T4 preparation.
- Prepare year-end working papers, adjusting entries and financial statements.
- Provide bookkeeping and accounting support to small businesses and non-profit organizations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing and account analysis.
- Communicate with clients to obtain information and resolve routine accounting issues.
- Maintain accurate and organized client records while meeting deadlines.
Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; public accounting experience is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting and reconciliations.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online/Desktop and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with TaxCycle, Profile, Xero or Sage is an asset.
- Experience with Canadian tax and payroll is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organization and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple client files and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and client-service skills.
- Accounting diploma, certificate or related education is an asset.

- Reconcile accounts regularly to identify discrepancies and ensure consistency across financial records.
- Support payroll processing using systems like ADP, Sage, QBO by verifying employee hours and salary data.
- Support bookkeeping service on Non-profit organization
- Assist with account analysis and budgeting activities to provide insights into financial performance.
- Maintain and update records related to billing, payments, and vendor information in compliance with organizational policies.
- Collaborate with team members on month-end closing activities and prepare reports for management review.
