Responsibilities

The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support for one or multiple individuals, and provide excellent customer service in all of their interactions. The incumbent will provide front-line support to faculty, staff, students and other stakeholders, making referrals and scheduling meetings with their supervisor(s) as appropriate. The incumbent will assist with resolving general inquiries, maintaining files, organizing schedules and coordinating meetings. The incumbent will perform word processing in adherence with standard procedures, order and maintain supplies, and perform other general office functions as required by their supervisor.

Qualifications





Education

- Bachelor's Degree in Music (Graduate level preferred)

Experience:
- Editorial work on technical reports and projects (Desired)

Skills, Abilities & Expertise:
- Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of the team to achieve department goals
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with careful attention to detail
- Ability to work in a manner that is compliant with confidentiality requirements
- Keyboarding skills with the ability to process information with high levels of accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to follow through on work assignments
- Knowledge of general office procedures
- Ability to maintain a positive, outgoing attitude
- Detail-oriented with an ability to function and process information with high levels of accuracy
- Ability to multi-task and maintain an organized and effective personal work environment
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to create a positive impression while interacting with others and responding to inquiries, by telephone, in person or electronically
- Ability to prioritize and organize a fluctuating work load
