We are supporting our client, a major player in the Canadian aerospace industry, in the search for a Methods Agent – Configuration Preparation.

In this role, you will contribute to the preparation, planning, and implementation of aircraft manufacturing and assembly methods. You will work closely with engineering, production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure technical compliance and the successful execution of projects.

Roles and Responsibilities

Methods and Technical Preparation

- Interpret, verify, and approve drawings and other documents issued by the Engineering Department.
- Understand, interpret, and plan aircraft ATP tests.
- Develop assembly and manufacturing strategies for aircraft components.
- Prepare and present projects for validation by the various departments.
- Create and/or interpret manufacturing process plans as required.

Project Management and Follow-up

- Lead project follow-up meetings and maintain project tracking files.
- Monitor and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Manage activities throughout the different project phases: feasibility study, project mandate and business case, acquisition, implementation, and production launch.
- Identify technical and operational issues and propose appropriate solutions.
- Manage change requests arising during project execution.

Coordination and Continuous Improvement

- Coordinate the implementation of engineering changes or assembly strategy changes.
- Work closely with Engineering, Material Logistics, Quality, and Production teams.
- Contribute to the improvement of manufacturing methods and processes.
- Ensure effective communication with internal stakeholders and customers.

Required Profile

Education and Experience

- College or university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Manufacturing, or another relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Methods.




- Experience in the aerospace industry and in supporting medium-volume production.

Technical Skills

- Good knowledge of aerospace assembly processes.
- Understanding of the key characteristics of simple and complex assembly tooling and capability analysis tools.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Ability to use and interpret aerospace standards.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to create and/or interpret manufacturing process plans.
- Strong understanding of tolerancing and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Knowledge of individual parts manufacturing is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office, and CATIA V5.
