About Comfort Appliance

Comfort Appliance Service & Installation is expanding its service operations across Metro Vancouver and is looking for motivated, reliable, and technically skilled individuals to join our team as Appliance Service Technicians.

We provide professional residential appliance repair, diagnostic, maintenance, and installation services throughout Metro Vancouver.

We are looking for individuals who are mechanically inclined, comfortable working with tools, capable of troubleshooting technical problems, and interested in building a long-term career in the appliance service industry.

Previous appliance repair experience is an asset, but it is not required.

Job Responsibilities

As an Appliance Service Technician, you will visit customers at residential locations to diagnose, repair, and service household appliances.

Your responsibilities may include

- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical appliance problems
- Repairing and servicing refrigerators and freezers
- Repairing washers and dryers
- Repairing dishwashers
- Repairing ovens, ranges, and cooktops
- Replacing defective electrical and mechanical components
- Performing basic electrical testing using a multimeter and other diagnostic tools
- Identifying required replacement parts
- Testing appliances after repair to confirm proper operation
- Explaining diagnosed problems and recommended repairs to customers
- Completing service reports and documenting work performed
- Taking photos and recording appliance model/serial numbers when required
- Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition




- Keeping the work area clean and professional
- Following company procedures and safety standards
- Communicating with the office regarding appointments, parts, estimates, and job status

Requirements

Applicants must

- Be mechanically and technically inclined
- Be comfortable working with hand tools and power tools
- Have good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Be able to communicate with customers in English
- Have a valid BC Class 5 Driver’s Licence
- Have access to a reliable personal vehicle
- Be comfortable travelling between service appointments throughout Metro Vancouver
- Have a smartphone and be comfortable using mobile applications
- Be reliable, punctual, organized, and professional
- Be comfortable working independently at customer locations
- Be willing to learn appliance diagnostics and repair procedures

Experience Previous appliance repair experience is NOT required.

Experience in any of the following areas is considered an asset:

- Mechanical repair
- Electrical work
- HVAC
- Automotive repair
- Maintenance
- Construction
- Handyman work
- Equipment repair
- Industrial maintenance
- Other technical or trades-related work

Service Area Technicians may receive service calls throughout Metro Vancouver, including:

Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Surrey, Richmond, Delta, North Vancouver and surrounding areas.
