Matrix HR is currently recruiting 3rd and 4th year apprentice Metal Fabricators for an exciting project and client of ours located in Halifax NS.

As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for using various tools and equipment to fabricate and assemble metal parts according to specifications. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently

Referral Bonus Offered! - We are pleased to offer a referral bonus of $200 for each individual referred to Matrix HR who is successfully hired for this project. To be eligible for the referral payment, the referred candidate must complete a minimum of one week of work on our payroll.

Responsibilities:

- Operate power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and fabricate metal parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Measure and mark dimensions on metal pieces using measuring instruments
- Weld or join metal components using various welding techniques




- Use cranes or forklifts to move heavy metal pieces as needed
- Perform quality checks to ensure finished products meet specifications
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time

Experience:

- Proven experience as a Metal Fabricator
- Completion of block 1 and 2 at minimum
- Proficient in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, or ARC welding
- Familiarity with operating power tools and hand tools
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
- Mechanical knowledge of metalworking processes and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

Certifications:

- Confined Space
- Fall Protection
- WHMIS

All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Government Security clearance.
