We are currently seeking a highly organized, trustworthy, and customer-focused Area Manager to join our Northern Ontario team in Sudbury, Ontario. This position is responsible for overseeing operations across multiple client sites, ensuring contractual obligations are met, customer expectations are exceeded, and Bee-Clean’s standards for quality, safety, and service excellence are maintained.
Position Details
Location: Sudbury, Ontario, and surrounding areas Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: $62,000–$70,000 per year
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend availability as required
Company Vehicle: Provided
Important Requirements
A company vehicle is provided for this position. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s licence and provide a clean driver’s abstract. Candidates must also successfully complete the required high-level background check and security clearances as a condition of employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct electronic quality assurance inspections to ensure compliance with contract specifications and company standards
- Supervise and coordinate janitorial staff across multiple client locations
- Assign cleaning duties according to contractual scope-of-work requirements
- Recommend personnel actions, including hiring and terminations, to maintain appropriate staffing levels
- Interview, hire, onboard, and train new employees
- Collaborate with employees to resolve operational and personnel issues
- Review and approve employee shifts through the payroll system
- Order supplies while maintaining established budget targets
- Coordinate billing for additional services and supplies with Operations and Accounts Receivable
- Conduct monthly health and safety training sessions
- Attend and participate in monthly health and safety meetings
- Investigate and address workplace incidents, disciplinary matters, and safety concerns
- Maintain positive client relationships and provide exceptional customer service
- Act as a liaison between clients and the regional office
- Receive and coordinate work order requests to ensure timely completion
- Maintain confidentiality and protect company information
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service and relationship management abilities
- Ability to effectively manage multiple client sites, employees, and competing priorities
- Previous experience supervising employees in a service-based workplace is preferred
- Proficiency with computers and payroll/timekeeping systems
- Valid driver’s licence and clean driver’s abstract required
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout Sudbury and the surrounding region
- Ability to successfully complete a high-level background check and required security clearances
- French language skills are considered an asset but are not required
