Asset Management Support Specialist

Position Summary:

The Asset Management Support Specialist is a field-reliant role that supports the Asset Manager by being physically present at company offices, yards, and field locations to assess equipment, vehicle assets, local office inventory, and operational asset needs. This position requires 50–75% travel to U.S. company locations, hands-on involvement with equipment, and the ability to evaluate asset condition, usage, readiness, and compliance in real operating environments. The role is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable working directly with field teams and equipment, and able to identify issues that may not be visible through reporting alone.

This position will strengthen asset visibility, improve equipment accountability, and support timely issue resolution across local offices and field operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Serve as a field-reliant asset support resource by regularly visiting company offices, yards, and field locations to conduct hands-on equipment inspections, asset reviews, and local office audits.
- Support and manage insurance claims, ensuringtimelyresolution and effective communication with all parties involved.
- Work directly with field and office teams on-site to verify physical inventory, assess equipment condition, andidentifyrepair, replacement, reassignment, or compliance needs.
- Use mechanical aptitude and practical equipment knowledge to support troubleshooting, asset readiness checks, and operational recommendations.
- Build andmaintainstrong working relationships with internal departments and external vendors, fostering a collaborative work environment.




- Support compliance with internal asset controls, risk mitigation procedures, and industry regulations.
- Address challenges and issues related to assets using asolutions-focused, problem-solving approach.
- Leverage metrics and KPIs to support strategic asset decisions and process improvements.
- Assistin implementing tools and systems that enhance asset visibility, reporting accuracy, and overall lifecycle management.
- Maintaina consistent field schedule requiringapproximately 50–75% travel to U.S. company locations to support regional offices,validateasset records against physical equipment, complete local office equipment audits, and follow up on outstanding asset issues in person.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Experience in insurance and claims processing isrequired.
- Strong skills in data analysis, reporting, and interpretation of key metrics.
- Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, charts, data manipulation).
- Familiarity with database and inventory management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships across teams and with external partners.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive, proactive attitude witha robust senseof ownership and accountability.
- Ability and willingness to work primarily in the field, with 50–75% travel to company offices, yards, and field locations across the United States.
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working hands-on with vehicles, equipment, tools, and field assets.
- Experience in the Traffic Control industry is a strong asset but notrequired.
