As an Applebee's Assistant Manager, you will be engaged in all aspects of the day-to-day operations at the restaurant. Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit. Ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff.
Performs routine maintenance and immediately reports to the General Manager/Area Director of needed repairs. Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team member and management candidates.

Helps maintain a trained staff through effective use of employment orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings and implementation of company policy and training systems. Participates in the constant development of employees using One-on-One and performance documentation, and contributes to the completion of written evaluations.
Monitors acceptable employee performance and documents situations that require or could lead to disciplinary or corrective action. Assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures. Responsible for controlling cost in assigned department.
Compliance with local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines. Drives bi-weekly / weekly food and liquor inventories at the AD/GM's request and is accountable for completion. Uses the Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills and proficiencies.
Education and Experience At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications also a plus Work various shifts ranging in hours, including weekends.
