The opportunity:
As a key member of the West Oak Family Office (West Oak) team, the Associate plays an integral role in managing client relationships and delivering exceptional investment management and family office services to West Oak’s high and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working closely with Senior Portfolio Managers to deliver exceptional wealth management services to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families.
- Proactively managing and maintaining relationships with clients, building trusted relationships, delivering a proactive, highly personalized client experience.
- Preparing and coordinating client meetings, agendas, meeting materials, and proactively following up with clients.
- Attending client meetings, as requested.
- Collaborating with internal teams, including planners, associates and traders,
to deliver comprehensive wealth management solutions and bespoke services to clients.
- Proactively contributing to the development of best practices and taking steps to improve operational policies, processes and practices.
- Staying up to date on firm and industry administrative and compliance policies and procedures.
- Maintaining up-to-date client records and utilizing CRM tools to efficiently manage tasks and maintain client documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and maintaining exemplary client files.
- Performing other duties and projects, as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum 5+ years of experience in wealth management in a direct client support role.
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics or a related field of study.
- Registered Representative (RR) licensing, and in good standing.
- Completion of the Wealth Management Essentials (WME) program.
- Professional designation of CFP, PFP is an asset.
- Life and A&S; Insurance licensing and operational insurance experience is an asset.
- A strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, advanced wealth management strategies.
- In-depth knowledge of investment industry rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Detail-orientation, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- An ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a high level of professionalism.
- Strong organization skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel) and working knowledge of financial planning software applications (Conquest) and CRM applications (Maximizer).
