Duties

- Set up banquet and meeting rooms according to BEOs and event requirements, including tables, chairs, linens, staging, water stations and other equipment.
- Serve food and beverages during weddings, meetings, conferences, galas, team meals and other functions.
- Set up, maintain and replenish buffets, coffee breaks, beverage stations and food displays.
- Clear tables, remove dishes and maintain a clean and organized event space throughout service.
- Tear down rooms following events and reset spaces for upcoming functions.
- Move and safely handle banquet tables, chairs, staging, AV equipment and other event supplies.
- Assist with room flips when meeting spaces need to be quickly changed between functions.
- Ensure meeting and banquet rooms are clean, presentable and fully prepared before guest arrival.
- Follow BEO instructions carefully, including room layouts, timing, guest counts and special requests.
- Assist guests and event organizers professionally and respond to requests during functions.
- Communicate with the Banquet Manager, kitchen and other hotel departments to ensure smooth event execution.
- Assist with bar setup, beverage service and cleanup when required and permitted.




- Maintain banquet storage areas and ensure equipment is returned to its proper location.
- Follow food safety, alcohol service, workplace safety and hotel policies.
- Report damaged equipment, maintenance concerns, spills or safety hazards promptly.
- Perform other banquet and event-related duties as assigned.

Physical Demands & Availability: This is a physically demanding position that requires standing and walking for extended periods, as well as regularly lifting, carrying, moving and setting up banquet tables, chairs and event equipment. Candidates must be comfortable working in a quick-paced environment and completing room setups and tear-downs. Flexible availability is required, including evenings, weekends and holidays, as shifts are scheduled based on banquet and event needs.

Experience

- Previous restaurant or food industry experience preferred, especially in banquet or catering settings
- Strong background in guest services and customer satisfaction within hospitality environments
- Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and proper serving techniques
- Experience with food preparation or bartending is a plus but not required
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Familiarity with hotel or large event venue operations is advantageous
- Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding food service and maintaining a positive attitude
