Legal Compliance & Corporate Governance (LCG) Technology provides operational controls and surveillance capabilities to enhance the firm?s resilience to threats and fraudulent behavior. Our support of critical business functions extends to archival & records management, business continuity planning and due diligence investigations. This role is part of the Information Controls Technology (ICT) Department, within LCG.

ICT is responsible for leveraging technical capabilities strategically and effectively to facilitate compliance with regulatory obligations and changing regulatory expectations around information barriers, conflicts of interest, communications supervision, and controls around employee investing and activities.

The candidate will join a team responsible for modernizing our technology solutions across the department that will also include aligning with Firm's strategic priorities of cloud readiness, DevOps, platform reliability, and automation. The team will operate as an agile squad or center of expertise within the department and work with the product owners on identifying and prioritizing the work to maximize the value delivered through our applications.



The ideal candidate should have the skills listed below but in addition should be a self-driven, dedicated individual who can work well with both technical and non-technical audiences.

In addition, the candidate should respond well to change and quickly pick up new concepts, as well as devising recent approaches for solving challenges in the space. Technical and analytics skills combined with strong interpersonal

Skills Required:

- 3+ years of appropriate technical experience
- Relevant experience with Scala-Spark Big Data development, preferably using Spark
- Strong Database experience preferably with Hadoop, DB2, or Sybase.
- Good understanding of Hadoop (HDFS) eco-system
- Complete SDLC process and Agile Methodology (Scrum)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience working within a scrum team
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional approach
- The ability to investigate and solve technical problems in the context of supporting production applications

Skill Desired:

- Previous experience in the Compliance technology space
- Previous experience with Spark processing on Hadoop
- Experience with, or exposure to Hadoop and Spark
- Experience working across time zones on a global team
- Hands-on Data Mining and analytical work experience, big data or Scala on Spark
- Unix OS, Scripting, Python or Perl
- Good understanding of DevOps concepts including working experience of CI/CD tools like Jenkins
